FAQs

How quickly do I receive my images?
You'll receive sneak peeks within 48 hours and your final gallery within 4-6weeks. Your final gallery is password protected and this is where you will be able to download the high resolution images to save to your hard drive.

How do we decide on how many hours of coverage we need for our wedding day?
8 hours is our base package because I believe that this allows us the time to accurately tell the story of your wedding day. However, if you know that you want coverage from the very beginning to the very end of your wedding day we do recommend adding anywhere from 2 to 4 additional hours. If you're wanting thorough coverage of the getting ready process and also photos of a grand send off you will generally need to add a bit of extra time. No matter what you choose we will happily advise you on the best way to use your time so that we get a little bit of everything, from getting ready photos into open dancing. You are also welcome to book the base package and then add additional time at a later date!

Are all images edited?
I carefully cull through the many photos taken on your wedding day, select all of the photos that have value (meaning nothing out of focus, technically beyond saving, unflattering, or an exact duplicate) and all of those final images will be professionally edited. Every photo is exposure and color corrected, creatively cropped if necessary, and will meet my strict standards for a print-worthy image.

Are any of the images watermarked and how are we allowed to use them?
None of your photos are ever watermarked. Once you download your high resolution photos you are welcome to share with family and friends, print, and enjoy how you see fit! I love it when my couples share their photos on social media and a tag/shout out is the greatest form of flattery! We also love to follow you back on social media so we can follow along with your life journey post-wedding!

How long have you been photographing weddings?
I have been shooting weddings full time since 2010. I have photographed hundreds of couples all over the country/world, from 2 person elopements to 300+ person events in grand cathedrals.

How do you describe your style?
I always find this to be an interesting question because I feel like my style is pretty in your face the moment you land on the website. But if I have to put it into words my style is joyful, documentary, and timeless. I love to pose and create beautiful portraits but the images that really move us have a little something extra: a moment, emotion, and a story. My editing style is classic, keeping with current trends but always staying true to my belief that your wedding photos should look as great in 20 years as they do today. I love rich colors, beautiful light, and telling your unique story.

When and where should we do an engagement shoot?
I love to photograph engagement shoots because it allows you to get to know your photographer. An engagement shoot can be done any time but I typically advise that you do it in time to send out your save-the-dates in case you decide to use the photos for that purpose. When it comes to location I want YOU to help decide. Do you have a place that's special to you? A lake you love to kayak in? A coffee shop that you go to every Sunday morning? The city where you met? The place where you got engaged? If nothing jumps out to you then I have dozens of beautiful locations for you to choose from - urban, beaches, the forest, rolling hills, quaint small towns, etc.

Do you charge a travel fee for weddings or engagement shoots outside of the Bay Area?
I do not charge a travel fee for any wedding in Northern California. For your engagement shoot, I will not charge a travel fee anywhere within a 75 mile radius of San Francisco. If your wedding or engagement shoot is outside of these areas I will give you a custom travel quote that is typically only the cost of a hotel stay and gas/flight. I’d love to explore new places with you and want to make it as reasonable as possible.

Do you offer videography?
Nope, sorry, I’m a pretty great photographers but not experienced at doing video. However, I know and work with some of the best and are happy to share their information. I believe that a photographer should be solely focused on shooting still images and all of your important moments, and a videographer should be solely focused on creating awesome cinematography of your day.

Can we see full galleries of your past work?
Yes! This is such an important question to ask. I am more than happy to send along a few full galleries, just let me know the types of weddings you'd like to see.
