Our Family Photos - 2010

A huge, huge, huge thank you to Julie of Jewels Photography for our gorgeous family photos this year! We WUB them :) Notice how Reid isn't in all that many?? Well, that's what happens when you take a 19 month old to a huge park...all he wanted to do was RUN and was not too pleased with us when we needed him to hold still for a photo! Regardless, I'm in awe that we actually got a few with all 3 of us where he's not screaming! haha. I can't wait to have these on my wall! Thanks again, Julie - you rock!

Behind the Scenes: Photography Meet-Up | Folsom

On Friday I got together with a few photographer friends of mine - Kris Lane, Brandy Hawkins and Bree Franklin I shot my very first "client" session at Negro Bar in Folsom a long time ago. I've learned a lot since then and was anxious to go back with 3 other talented ladies to chat about photography and get some shots in. Kris brought her son and Bree brought her daughter. Both were willing models, although one was more on the move than the other. I bet you can guess who it was ;)

Photography is an interesting business. There are a few bad seeds out there (as with all industries), but for the most part it's a community filled with wonderful, caring, and artistic people who love to share their craft, help eachother out and encourage their fellow photographer along the way. I feel so lucky to know so many of the "good seeds"! The 4 of us plus another friend, Charletton Churchill, will be attending the PPA Tour in Sacramento this Tuesday at the Hyatt Regency. Exciting stuff!

Giving my husband a heart attack + KCRA 3 A-List

Sooo....I'm currently in 14th place in the Photography category for the KCRA A-List! I don't expect to win, but heck, if you wanted to vote and get me in the top 10 I would be THRILLED! And, I just had to share this...I was talking to Will about my website last night. He said that he was looking at my "About Me" page a few days ago and about had a heart attacked. I guess on first glance he saw the arrow and the "Baby #2" and thought it was pointing at my stomach. SURPRISE!!!!!!!!! haha. Poor guy. I am perfectly content with my camera being my 2nd baby...for now ;)

And, just because he's too cute not to share....the Baby #1 himself!
