Alex & David's Lands End Engagement | San Francisco Bay Area Wedding Photographer

Ahhh we live here. That's what I think every single time I'm at Lands End and Sutro Baths in San Francisco. How is it that some place so naturally beautiful exists right on the edge of a huge, bustling metropolis?

Alex and David are getting married later this year at Nestldown. We met last year over coffee and I knew that they were going to be my clients (whether they liked it or not, lol). You know when you meet someone and you're like, "Yes, these are my people"? That's what happened. We had the best time during their engagement shoot, laughing and talking the entire time like old friends which I think helped us create better images. There is nothing that I love more than when a couple can relax and be themselves in front of the camera, even though I know it's scary when we first start. They totally nailed it!

This is just a quick sneak peek of the beautiful, intimate, 23 person wedding I shot at San Francisco City Hall earlier in October! I cannot wait to blog more <3 This place is a wedding photographer's dream and I felt like I was back in Europe, not the heart of San Francisco!

I love when my clients suggest places to shoot because more often than not those locations are special to them. When this couple suggested Muir Woods and the Filbert Steps I was excited because those were two places where I've never shot. Muir Woods is a 30ish minute drive from San Francisco but you feel a world away. Even on a sunny day at 3pm we were enveloped in the shadows of towering redwoods. I'm sure candle manufactures everywhere wish they could duplicate the small - it was like we were in a fairytale. I half expected Little Red Riding Hood to pop out at any moment :) After Muir Woods, we headed back towards their apartment and were graced with the last bits of hazy sun. Views of the TransAmerica building, the Bay Bridge, Coit Tower, and iconic steep hills surrounded us in a literal 360 degree fashion. We explored the Filbert Steps and chatted as we walked around the beautiful neighborhood that they call home.

It was a pleasure to meet and spend time with these two lovely humans.
