Alex & David's Lands End Engagement | San Francisco Bay Area Wedding Photographer

Ahhh we live here. That's what I think every single time I'm at Lands End and Sutro Baths in San Francisco. How is it that some place so naturally beautiful exists right on the edge of a huge, bustling metropolis?

Alex and David are getting married later this year at Nestldown. We met last year over coffee and I knew that they were going to be my clients (whether they liked it or not, lol). You know when you meet someone and you're like, "Yes, these are my people"? That's what happened. We had the best time during their engagement shoot, laughing and talking the entire time like old friends which I think helped us create better images. There is nothing that I love more than when a couple can relax and be themselves in front of the camera, even though I know it's scary when we first start. They totally nailed it!

Shelby & Pasquale's Maternity Session | Malibu, CA | San Francisco Bay Area Maternity Photographer

Shelby is my radiant sister in law. I was the maid (okay, officially MATRON) of honor in her wedding. I've known Shelby since she was just 7 years old so she truly feels like more of a sister than an "in-law" - watching her grow up and into the stunning, smart, loving woman that she is has been a gift. She was meant to become a mother so when they announced that they were expecting we were all over joyed.

We decided to do her maternity session the week after Christmas at El Matador State Beach in Malibu. Known for being extremely crowded we lucked out going on a Tuesday in the dead of winter. What a beautiful location for a beautiful couple!

Alie & Nat's Rio Theater Wedding | Santa Cruz and San Francisco Wedding Photographer

Alie and Nat's theater wedding in Santa Cruz was my last official wedding of 2017. They contacted me after seeing other theater work I've done (funny niche to have in weddings, but I love it!)  - since it was late November they needed someone who was totally comfortable shooting in the dark. Also, they requested NO posed couple portraits of themselves which I found to be an interesting challenge that I was happy to accept. They had a more traditional wedding in San Francisco earlier in the year.

Theater is what brought Alie and Nat together and they have performed in multiple shows together, something they re-enacted this evening. They got on stage and performed short skits from each and every play they have done together. It was a total blast for everyone in attendance.
